Teen & Young Adult
Meaningful relationships with the local multispecies community, built through youth leadership, exploration, and co-creation.
Teen & Young Adult
6th-12th grade
Teen programming grows from relationships with local teens, evolving with their ideas, interests, experiences, and the places and communities that matter to them.
the approach
Artistic and hands-on experiences that use natural materials, creative processes, and making as ways to explore our connections with the living world.
Creative Explorations
Outdoor experiences that invite teens to explore local places, observe the living world, and develop a deeper sense of connection to their surroundings.
Field Experiences
Opportunities for teens to take an active role in shaping projects, engaging their communities, and turning their ideas into action.
Youth Leadership Projects
Some experiences are led by instructors, while others are co-created or led by teens themselves. Together, they create opportunities to explore, create, contribute, and build meaningful relationships with the living world.

◊ Field Experiences
Teens explore local places alongside naturalists, artists, photographers, ornithologists, wildlife care professionals, and other community members chosen around their interests. Walks may include guided or self-led discovery, reflection and conversation, or opportunities to put new skills into practice through photography, watercolor painting, birding, and more.
Learning becomes exploratory, creative, and rooted in place.
